Instructions:

Prepare the filling with seasonings: Place the ground meat in a bowl. Add salt, sesame oil, ground white pepper, a small amount of soy sauce, and five-spice powder. Stir clockwise until the filling becomes cohesive and firm.

Add vegetables: You can add cabbage, Chinese chives, green beans, zucchini, or other vegetables to enhance the freshness and texture of the dumplings. Be sure to squeeze out excess water from the vegetables to prevent the dumplings from becoming watery .

Roll out the wrappers: Divide the dough into small portions. Roll each portion into a thin, round wrapper on a flat surface. If you don’t have a rolling pin, you can also use the bottom of a cup to press out round wrappers.

Fill and seal the dumplings: Place an appropriate amount of filling in the center of a wrapper. Fold it in half and pinch the edges tightly to seal. You can also press the edges lightly with a fork for a decorative pattern and a secure seal .

Cook the dumplings: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the dumplings and gently stir to prevent sticking. When the water returns to a boil, add a small amount of cold water. Repeat this process two to three times until the dumplings are cooked through .

Serve with dipping sauce: Remove the cooked dumplings with a slotted spoon, place them in a bowl, and drizzle with dumpling dipping sauce. Serve immediately.
